Dr. Gloria Cappelli is a teacher and a researcher at the University of Pisa where she works in the Department of English Studies and collaborates with the Interdepartmental Linguistics Centre (Centro Linguistico Interdipartimentale) and with the Department of Linguistics.
Her main research interests include language acquisition and glottodidactics, semantics and pragmatics, text linguistics, translation and ESP (English for Special Purposes).
She is a certified teacher of English and over the past two years, has been teaching English Linguistics at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures of the University of Pisa, for the students in the Euro-American Languages and Literatures program.
She has published several articles in Italian and international journals and is co-editor of a book on Lexical Complexity and Translation with Prof. Marcella Bertuccelli Papi and Dr. Silvia Masi.
Sun, Sea, Sex and the Unspoilt Countryside is her first book.
