Be sure to download from amazon the Companion to the Project Alpha Papers, a memoir by Peter R. Phillips, the principal target of a hoax called Project Alpha, masterminded by the magician James (The Amazing) Randi in the early 1980s. It supplements The Project Alpha Papers, an archive of articles about Project Alpha written in the 1980s. The archive is hosted by the Australian Institute for Parapsychological Research. It is open to all, and can be found at http://www.aiprinc.org/Project_Alpha.asp.

For those fascinated by these events a feature film documentary An Honest Liar was released in February 2015. The film documents the life of former magician, escape artist, and skeptical educator James Randi, in particular the investigations by means of which Randi publicly exposed psychics, faith healers, and con-artists.
