John Grande's book signing in Toronto

On Thursday May 22nd, the Edward Day Gallery in Toronto will host a book signing by John K. Grande, Montreal-based curator and arts writer who has contributed over the years to such magazines as Artforum, Sculpture, Art Papers, Canadian Forum, Vice Versa and Vie des Arts. A prolific writer, Grande will be curating Earth Art shows this summer at the Royal Botanical Gardens and at Sackville, New Brunswick (2008 Cultural Capital of Canada) featuring Teresa Gazitua, Nils-Udo, Neville Gabie, Bob Verschueren, Gilles Bruni, Roy Staab, and Simon Frank among others.

Dialogues in Diversity: Art from Marginal to Mainstream features John Grande's interviews with 16 artists from   countries around the world including Hungary, China, Iran, Mexico, Norway, Senegal, Chile, the United States and Canada. As Peter Selz  has written: «Grande is a fine interviewer: he clearly likes to talk to people, asks pertinent questions, and knows how to prompt thoughtful answers. He also has a good deal to say himself, so that we are dealing with discussions, not merely interviews.»
